Hi my name is Kim, I have been hairdressing since before I left school working as a Saturday girl in a local salon. I completed my training as an apprentice through Bournemouth and Poole college and gained my NVQ level 2 and Key skills and also a Goldwell perming and colouring course achieving my Framework to gain a full apprenticeship in the summer of 2005. During my time at college I was inspired to enter competition work. I entered the college’s annual competition and finished 3rd place this entered me into a regional competition organised by the National Association of Hairdressers and I came first! This put me into the next stage of that competition nationally held at the G- Mex centre in Manchester and I achieved a finalist diploma. This experience gave me the aspiration to develop my career and offer my clients that extra something.

It has been important to me to maintain my continual Professional development and I have completed numerous courses: L’oreal Professional creative cutting and finishing Diploma in 2005, Wella Diploma in classic cutting 2006, Wella diploma in contemporary barbering in 2006 Wella diploma in foundation foiling and creative colouring, Wella corrective colouring, Wella diploma in pure blondes. Continuing to do courses to up date my skills.

My great passion is to cut colour and style hair and I hope this shows in my daily work.
